WHO WE ARE
Who are we (JDCD Enterprise)? We are actually J&C and D&D, two married couples who WERE part of modern society's rat race -- a race which can NEVER be won! One couple built a cabin next to a little creek as a "get away place", AND it worked miracles for their marriage -- they "fell in love again" AND also got closer to God -- actually in reverse order!

The other couple saw this miracle and wanted it for themselves. Reasonable since this is modern American society's most basic need -- to get closer to: God, spouse, family, and friends -- that is, get out of the rat race and ENJOY LIFE! Even if it is only on the weekends! (Rest stops are good in the race even if you can't stop altogether!)

But, the "other couple" could not find a site next to a river/creek any smaller than 130 acres next to the East Fork of the Amite River -- one thing led to another (God does that you know) and JDCD Enterprise: was born, bought beautiful hardwood forest property next to a river (lazy Amite River), located the best log home manufacturer (COUNTRY ROAD LOG HOMES in North Carolina), graduated log home builder's school, built a model log home, AND stands ready to MAKE YOUR DREAM COME TRUE!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON AMITE RIVER LOG HOMES AND PROPERTIES

The property is 130+ acres - - it includes parcels on the flowing river, on smaller flowing creeks, and on shallow lakes - - prices vary from $10,000 per acre (with a five-acre minimum because it wouldn't be much of a getaway if there's a neighbor in Your front yard!) depending on exactly where on the property You want. The property HAS NOT BEEN (nor will it ever be) TURNED INTO A SUBDIVISION . JDCD is NOT about little lots in the country which are like little lots in town. The reason there are no pictures of the property on the website yet is because we have just got "roads" cut through it enough for people to get back into it in order to see it and pick out "their spot". Hope to have pictures of the property on it soon. These "roads" (unlike the one leading to the model home and unlike the ones which will be built to "Your spot" which are included in the price) are not passable in all cases during rainy weather in an automobile. This is one reason we want to show You the model and rest of the property, personally!

The model home (a modified "Virginian"), pictured above and below, is about 2500 square feet with a ten-foot porch all the way around (1600+ square feet of porch). It is three bedrooms with the master bedroom and bath (with shower and garden tub) downstairs. It has a large greatroom with fireplace with a cathedral ceiling. A study overlooking the greatroom and two bedrooms are upstairs. It will have all the modern conveniences. No cost has been spared - - it is a real showcase. The price for this model home along with five to ten acres will be in the $400,000 range, BUT a very nice home can be purchased for a good deal less depending on such things as: size, design, acreage and location, level of finish work desired, financing, et cetera. JDCD wants to work with YOU to give YOU what YOU want to make YOUR DREAM COME TRUE. Since we don't know what that is and since there are so many variables involed, there is no real way to give prices until we get to know You a little.

JDCD is not in the business of "mass-producing" homes nor in the business of "mass-selling" property. We are in the business of making dreams come true, because if we were in it just to "make a killing", God would not bless any of us and we want that more than anything else. Our MASTER BUILDER, Ned Fountain is ready right now to build Your custom dream home, but it will be "first come, first built", because we intend to build them one at a time - - no mass-producing, because we can't give You Your very own dream that way!
